Cleveland.com has been running a contest for the Best Marching Band of Northeast Ohio and the ALHS Marching Shoremen have made it to the finals! We need your help and support! Please click on the link below to vote for the Marching Shoremen!
If you have not seen the Marching Shoremen, come to this Friday night’s football game where our Shoremen will BEAT the Rangers of North Ridgeville! The show for the Marching Shoremen this year is a spectacular patriotic show called American Sketches. This show uses American patriotic songs and folk music from our country’s great history, including “When Johnny Comes Marching Home”, “America”, “American the Beautiful”, “Battle Hymn of the Republic”, and the great big band jazz hit by Benny Goodman titled “Sing, Sing, Sing”. This Friday’s show is a special one as we will be highlighting our show with a special recognition of our own community members who currently serve and have served in our nation’s military. This is a special show and we are proud to recognize those that have sacrificed for our nation. Thank you for your vote and we hope to see you at this Friday night’s game!

It is my pleasure to welcome and invite you to join the Avon Lake High School PTA this year. Our organization is over 300 members strong and dedicated to improving and enhancing our children’s educational experience. Our PTA awards several scholarships every year, purchases items for the classrooms, and funds speakers and programs. Volunteers are the secret to our success. We have an active PTA membership with lots of ways to participate. Volunteering is a great way to meet new parents and get involved at the high school.
All of our communications will be found on the Avon Lake High School website simply by accessing it through our PTA link. There you will find membership, volunteer, and directory forms; past PTA meeting minutes; information on our annual Christmas-by-the-Lake Craft show and the Reflections program. The website is the fastest and easiest way to obtain the most current information. Please take this opportunity to become a member of the Avon Lake High School PTA. Your $6.75 membership is very important and supports local, state, and national activities - all of which are dedicated to supporting and speaking on behalf of children and youth in our country.
